Since 2018, Left In The Field Outdoors has been using SpyPoint trail cameras to inventory, pattern, and hunt deer and turkey. The experience has been remarkable and SpyPoint continues to up their game each year with new cameras and technology. The 2025 launch of the Flex Dark series of cameras has been highly anticipated by SpyPoint lovers. I was able to get my hands on both Dark models in late April and I want to share my first impression of what I think.

The Flex platform continues in 2025 with the new Flex-Dark. I really like this camera a lot. I run all of my cameras year-round and need a quality camera that can withstand the weather and animals. The 40 megapixel camera takes wonderful photos that are clear and detailed while the 1080p video is remarkable. The camera was easy to install on the app and immediately began taking pictures.
"Yes, the "S" stands for Solar!" The only other difference between the two cameras is the S-Dark has an Instant Mode feature that allows you to request photos or videos immediately. The S- Dark does have a slightly larger solar panel than the Flex-S from 2024. This has proven to make the camera battery life last longer. I love the Flex-S-Dark for food plots and areas that I need immediate intel so I am not screwing up any of my hunts.

If you are still into tradition trail cameras because you like having everything on an SD card or maybe you don't have good cellular service, the Force Pro S 2.0 is for you. I got this camera in 2024 and put it near my 110 gallon waterhole. I charged the internal lithium battery and didn't put any AA batteries in it. The camera has now been out for over a year and I have yet to have the camera go dead. The camera has taken thousands of pictures and videos and still had 90% battery life. The 4K video quality with sound is a remarkable. I can set the video to last up to a minute and it hardly drains the battery. The Force Pro S 2.0 has an internal screen to view the pictures or videos on the camera card. I really love this camera!

At Left In The Field Outdoors we are serious about year-round scouting. We trust that scouting to SpyPoint because of their quality and user friendly cameras. Looking forward to watching the velvet grow this summer and watching bucks hit my mock scrapes. Check out the Flex Dark line from SpyPoint!
