Best Home Target

I am an archery addict! Ask anyone who knows me, and they will roll their eyes and scoff. My wife knows that when I sneak into the basement, I either work on my bow, shoot my bow, or do something with archery equipment. With that in mind, I would like to discuss home archery targets.

Bag Targets
Bag targets, the budget-friendly option, are a great addition to your home archery setup. They come in various sizes, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. With their black dots on one side and a deer silhouette on the other, they offer versatility in practice. However, if you're a frequent shooter like me, you might find that a bag target doesn't last as long as other options. It's always a good idea to check if your bag target has a replacement cover.

Foam Targets
Foam targets, a versatile choice for home practice, are a must-have for any archery enthusiast. Most foam targets also double as broadhead targets, making them a practical investment. Their lightweight and easy-to-move nature makes them perfect for shooting indoors or outdoors. With multiple sides and aim points, they offer longevity and durability. These targets are fantastic for practice, especially when using a treestand or for long-distance shooting, allowing you to adapt your practice to different scenarios.

3-D Targets
3-D targets, with their lifelike design, are an excellent choice for home practice. I particularly enjoy a deer target, given my preference for bow hunting. If you have the space, a 3-D target can add a fun and realistic element to your practice. I recommend having a homemade or 3-D stand to hold the target. Look for a 3-D target that has a replaceable core or midsection for added durability. When the weather is good, take the target outside and create realistic hunting situations, confident in the durability of your investment.

Home Range Targets
If you have an archery addiction like me, consider looking into a home range target. Home range targets come in standard sizes of 18x18, 20x20, 24x24, and 30x30. These targets will take thousands of shots and can stop the fastest crossbows. I shoot my Big Shot Home Range target year-round. I enjoy taking it outside for long-range shooting sessions in the summer.

The wide variety of targets available allows every archer to get what target they want. I prefer Big Shot Archery Targets because of their target selection, reliability, durability, and easy arrow removal. Check out the Big Shot Target Iron Man edition. Go to their website and use the code "Ironman" for 10% off any Ironman target.
